Forced Into Vacation Mode – One of the Many Victims!

Two of my three Etsy shops were forced into vacation mode last Thursday. These shops are my full-time job and main source of income. I’ve invested heavily to stock up for Christmas, and now that investment feels wasted. Without the ability to accept orders or deposits, this situation has created significant financial hardship for both my family and my business.

I’ve made multiple attempts to contact Etsy through all three of my shops, but my requests have gone unanswered. Since my vintage shop remains active, I tried using its online chat to reach Etsy support. Initially, the agent responded promptly, but after transferring me to another department and asking me to stay on the line, the chat went silent. Despite sending follow-up messages, I received no further response.

I’ve been selling on Etsy since 2013, consistently maintaining an excellent reputation. I have no open cases and only one pending order still within its promised timeline. All the products I sell are either my handmade items crafted in Canada or supplies sourced from Canada and the USA. Any branded items are legitimate and properly licensed. I’ve also provided all required documentation—ID, tax number, and business number—since day one.

This decision by Etsy feels both unfair and unwarranted. It has caused extreme mental and financial strain on my business and family. Please restore my shops so I can keep my business running and support my family.

I know many other shops are experiencing the same pain and stress. Etsy, please don’t make this holiday season sad and depressing for us.
