I just noticed this morning that it was recommended I add a secondary category for my listings. I make and sell reborn dolls. When I went to look at the category I noticed it was in Craft Supplies & Tools instead of Toys & Games Toys Dolls & Action Figures Dolls Reborn Dolls
I have never created my listings in this category and I am shocked anyone would ever find my shop if that was the case. I don't know if this is a bug or what.
Is there a fast way to fix all my listings to the proper category or do I have to do them 1 by 1 ??
It seems like I can bulk edit almost anything but not the category
You have to fix them one at a time I think
I thought so... I will do 5 every 20 minutes while at work I guess.. thanks
Some are still in the correct category!
that is because I have been manually changing them
Yep, in visibility it showed 97 listings in the wrong category! Well I didn't put them there! Now I have to go work all day to correct whatever crap they did that switched them to a wrong category.
Alright so its not just me!! Unbelievable!!! Not fair. I spent a long time doing my listings. Sorry you have to go through this too!!
same here!
etsy just keeping changing categories to wrong ones for all/most of my listings...
and then I wonder why no sales lately...
EliteBaby, and to all others dealing with this, I am in the same boat. This is so frustrating because I used to have categories set up for all my items when I created the listings. Etsy makes an update and removes them all, then keeps telling me I need to add it. They have bulk listing tools for nearly everything BUT categories / sub-categories. I sell vintage items and have almost 500 listings this now needs to be updated on. I don't have the time, and technically it's Etsy's mistake. And now my shop manager has an alert banner that I'm supposed to be doing this change to almost all my listings or I won't be searchable. Ugh.
I found an embroidered towel in my baby bib section even though the listing section I had was correct. My bib sub category can be 1st birthday, LGBTQ, and 2 others, non of which fit. Are there any real people working at Etsy now?
