Why Etsy, why, are you futzing around with the site interface every single day instead of fixing the things you keep breaking?!?

"Has anyone ever seen it this bad?" Yes. They used to close the site for 2-6 hours overnight US time every single week for months on end. 

They are clearly headed for some major upgrades right now, and they tend to do them in small chunks over months or even years to make sure the site mostly stays up. We likely haven't seen most of what is coming.
