First Month on Etsy. why is my balance less than my net profit? I can’t figure it out on my monthly statement?
Your price point is very low, fees are likely to wipe out all the money you make before you even include material costs/time/utilities etc.
You've listed 29 items plus 6 relists, so youve already spent over £6 before, before you start. Then theres transaction fees and payment processing fees and the regulatory operating fee, with VAT on every one of those fees. Nevermind a possible Offsite Ad fee of 15% of the sum total of the sale (inc shipping).
As a new seller, you have to wait 3 days before the money from a sale is released to you to become available for deposit, but looking at your price point and the number of sales youve had, you could well be in debt to Etsy already with no profit whatsoever.
Hi printedgems. If you go into your "Account" page, and then navigate over to "Finances > Payment Account" you will find an Activity Summary of all of the fees and costs. Click "Expand Categories" for more details, and review the information. From here you can see your income (sales) and all of the costs (fees, etc) that were deducted.
Hello! I checked out your store and you definitely set very low prices and also advertised a 10% discount. To me these are very low prices and I don't know if you will have enough sales to make a profit after all the fees you have to pay Etsy. Good luck!
