Dear Etsy Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some feedback regarding the compatibility of the Etsy app with iPad devices.
Recently, I encountered an issue where I was unable to access certain files in the Purchase section of my Etsy account using the Etsy app on my iPad Air. Despite multiple attempts, I couldn't locate my Procreate files within the app. After some investigation, I realized that the Etsy app on my iPad Air doesn't support selecting files from the Purchase section.
Consequently, I had to resort to using my iMac to download the files from my Etsy account and then transfer them to my iPad Air via Airdrop. While this solution worked, it added unnecessary steps to the process.
Given that Procreate, a popular digital art app, isn't compatible with the iMac, many users like myself rely on iPads for their creative endeavors. Therefore, I believe it would greatly benefit Etsy users if the Etsy app were updated to be fully compatible with iPad devices. This adjustment would not only enhance the user experience but also streamline the process for accessing and managing files, particularly for Procreate customers.
Thank you for considering my feedback. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to any updates or improvements that may arise in the future.
Best regards,
Richard
You can't download any files with the etsy app, because etsy would have to pay apple to allow downloads (and google play for android). [This is why amazon won't let you buy books through the kindle app anymore]
You may be able to download them using a browser on your ipad though.
I just spent seven hours trying to load seven items into my shop. It seemed at the time it was acting slow, but seven hours later, I only show two new items+ and most of my photos are gone. I no longer have a computer. I only have an iPad (An older one). If I can’t use my iPad with Etsy, I will have to give up on Etsy. Fix it, please.
