I just received this message from “Freia Etsy Support”:
“Hello, Dear Seller. Welcome to Etsy technical support! Your item has been paid for by the buyer but an error occurred as a result of the order processing and the order cannot be displayed in your personal account, please enter your e- MalL in this chat to receive a customized form to confirm the sale of your item. Thank you!”
I’ve received many fake messages asking for my e-Mail, but this one was new. Took me a hot second to realize, it’s the same scam.
Be careful!
SCAM big time. There have been skads of posts about it. Put the message into spam.
Those scammers have really been on a roll.
Sneakily they've replaced the "i" with an "l" (lowercase L) and written it as "e- MalL" to try and get around whatever word detections Etsy might be trying to put in place to catch these types of messages.
That is one long sentence! Also love the "Dear Seller."
This is a scam. Don’t respond or provide any personal or financial information. Send it to spam.
Make it part of your daily routine to visit the forums. You can learn so much about ongoing concerns, problems, glitches, and scams. Stay informed!

I got a similar message with a Etsy label/picture . Is Etsy not be able to filter such messages ?
Using Etsy's name, I received a message today saying congratulations, your product has been sold. I was so happy thinking that I sold my first product. But of course I realized it was fake, they really don't give up. I'm fed up, these scammers are not tired of trying.
Not only is it money to them, it is sport. They enjoy it so they get something out of it even when they don't score the $$.
Hey! I'm a new user on Etsy, and today I received 6 messages from potential buyers asking me to send them my email address. Of course, I didn't send anything, but I started wondering if there might be an issue with my account regarding these buyers. Now, I see that these are just scammers!
Lesson learnt today as well... He even said - remove it from SPAM when I placed it in spam. Not sure how its known.
