Fair representation of Reviews under each listing

Jump to solution

Could someone explain to me why I keep getting the same two negative reviews under 99% of my listings? Surely this is a bug and should be fixed. I am a star seller and have been every month since it started and I have 4.9 review average so how come the only two negative reviews I received over a month ago are repeatedly showing up under my listings? I managed to find 5 listings that they didn't appear under and save those as my featured listings.

I have had to stop all new listings, all advertising, all social media and all SEO and basically abandon my shop as theres no point directing people to listings that look like this as it is so damaging. What's the point of spending time and money sending traffic to my listings for people to see these (unfounded by the way) negative reviews. Obviously people are are leaving without purchasing which damages my rankings and in turn causes further problems to my listing as google which was driving a lot of traffic to my shop also notices that people are leaving without a purchase and eventually will stop sending me traffic. Its a never ending spiral and I don't know how to fix it without Etsy resolving this issue and giving me a fair representation of my 1700 5 star reviews!! not the 0.01% representation.

It seems pretty unfair that my shop can be destroyed in this way and I have no control over it whatsoever. All my hard work not to mention my income wiped out practically overnight. Please can someone help me. I tried calling Etsy support but I was just gaslighted.

Hello!

Prior to posting in a thread in the Forums, we ask that you please check if you are not bumping an old thread that hasn't seen any activity in a few months (or years, even). If that is the case, and you still would like to share your thoughts and get the conversation going - whether about this or similar topics, we ask that you start your own thread instead of bumping an old one - or check if there are currently active (i.e., ongoing) threads about this subject.

Please note that reviving old threads can cause confusion for members reading, so always check the dates of the most recent replies before posting. You can find this information on the top-left corner of each message, just below the member's username and profile picture.

Having said that, we are closing this thread as in fact, for this specific concern, we already have other, ongoing threads covering it and there is no need to bump an older thread to discuss this very same subject.

Thank you!

There are many forum threads about this.  It does seem crazy that Etsy would ever think this is a good idea!

Madness isn't it?! Please weigh in on the other threads regarding this also. There are a lot of us affected by this issue / test that Etsy are currently running with and we need to keep the topic as prioritised for Etsy as the 0.01% negative reviews are for them.
