Etsy support not responding, serious issues with my shop.

Hi!

My store have been going great, I'm really happy. But a while ago the bank I use (revolut) offered me a new Iban since the one I last had was libanese and I live in France, they were offering a French one so I accpeted and it was changed (I think it was a different countrys iban to start with because it's an online bank).This meant I needed to update my Iban on etsy too. I went to do that and they format wasn't valid (bc libanese Ibans are shorter), you can't change the country of your bank. So now I have over 1k€ blocked on my account, money I really need. I contacted the support who replied super fast, the issue is the person responding kept changing each message so everytime they were offering solutions with no relation to my actual problem because they didn't understand what was happening. I kinda had to re-explain. I gave them A LOT of details they asked for about my store etc, to verify my identity. Then they just stoped responding. Nothing. So I gave them the info and now they are just ignoring all my messages. I've sent about 4 and also tried opening a new case but still no response. It's been over a month since I first contacted the support.

Anything I can do?

I'm getting really worried and this is so stressfull.

@KurioCie  :  DO NOT open a new issue (doing so closes the one you already opened and puts the new one on the bottom of the pile). Every eMail from Etsy will have a link something like "I Still Need Help". Click on that to keep the report alive. You may have to do this innumerable times before anything is done but do not give up. In those rare cases where there is no link, reply to the eMail with the message that you still need help.

you can't change the IBAN on your bank account, Etsy doesn't allow you to change currencies/countries.

they only allow you to change countries, if the new etsy payment country has the same currency, so euro, and France to Germany - and they have to do that behind the scenes for it to work.

You either have to keep your old shop and bank account in that country,

or set up a new shop in France, with a French IBAN , and the euro

you have etsy payments, so not sure what country you were set up with, and currency you were being paid in

@CraftyCornishMaids  just found this article about Revolut and the IBAN number and I think this is what happened with the OP they were offered a French IBAN number and used it. Not sure what Etsy will do but I think like you say they may have to open a new shop

that might be good news for the OP, if they started their shop as Lithuanian, as that has the euro

and all etsy has to do is change it behind the scenes, fingers crossed
