Etsy shipping label - invalid address?

Trying to fill an order and Etsy shipping says "invalid address" and " name requires at least 2 characters ".  All they gave was a first initial and last name.  Customer has not responded.  Is there anything I can try?

Is there a space at the front of the address and/or name?  Try editing it to see if that's it.  

If that's not it, try Googling the address.

You can try looking up the address/name on the internet and see if it matches what you have.  You can edit the name/shipping address when in the process of buying a shipping label.  If it is correct, it will show it is a USPS address that is valid.  I did have a sale one time that showed the name/address was valid, but I found out later that the customer had not changed her name/address with Etsy and she told me she hadn't lived at that address for years.  Best to cancel and refund the sale and have the customer repurchase the item with the correct information.  Otherwise, you won't have Etsy seller protection.

If it's just the persons name,

 you can sometimes guess, by their e-mail address, if not, just add a letter after the first initial

I wouldn't cancel and order over this.  I find it odd.  I know they accept one initial for a last name.  I just had one that was full first name and last initial and all went fine.  Maybe remove the initial and type in "occupant".

I've never seen an invalid address message because of a name before. I once sent a package and the name was "Mom", no last name and it got there just fine.
