Is anyone else having this issue? My app suddenly stopped showing an indicator over the messages icon that would visually indicate when I have a new message. I have notifications turned off (and always have) so it's not a notification on the phone itself; it's what you see when you open the app.
I now have several messages from days ago that I never even had an indicator for, and now it's impacted my seller rating.
I'm on a Google Pixel 5A/Android.

The consensus is that a seller needs to check their shop for messages and orders at least daily via a browser until these issues are resolved.
"... it's impacted my seller rating" A controversial workaround - if the unanswered new thread is not a Help Request, at least for the time being, it appears that marking an unanswered message as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two if the original message was within the current star seller period (but not retroactively). Note that subsequent messages from that account may go directly to the SPAM folder.

Yes I’m having the very same issue. I just notified the help center. They’re looking into it. In my case I log in everyday directly to Etsy.com. I also have Etsy settings set up to notify me on my cell phone whenever I have a message from a customer. I sent them a screen shot proving I never received a customer message notification. I’m sure it’s just another Etsy bug that will eventually get fixed. I’m sure once the help center keeps getting this issue from sellers they’ll realize something’s amiss.
Ugh, what a bummer! I check everyday via browser as well but somehow a few slipped through. Hopefully they fix soon!
how did you notified the help center? I have an issue with the actual order notification that was placed a week ago but i got notification on my phone just today! I need to contact tech support or at least report this issue to prevent it from happening again. I dont have many orders so I dont log in to the web specifically, just usually wait till the App tells me that. Never had problems with the old app.

Don't rely on the app until they bring out a fully working one
