Etsy print function

I sold an item from my shop this morning, and when I tried to print a copy of the item to send with the order all I got from the Etsy 'print' fuction was "Sorry this item has been sold" - and that page was the only thing I could print. I had to paste & print a copy of the item though my Office Word program in order to complete the order! Anybody know what's going on? I used to be able to print a copy of each book I sold, along with the item description, but then ETSY changed the 'print' function do that all I can print is the top 2" or so of the item's picture... now I can't even get the full description to print...

Can you clarify a bit as to what you are trying to print? The packing slip or the order receipt or something else? You can print the packing slip (meant for buyer)  and/or the order receipt (meant for the seller) from the order page.

No, I am trying to print the "'Learn More About This Item" information from the actual sale listing... my practice (up until today) has been to make a copy of the listed item, along with it's full description, to send along with the actual item sold. This allows the customer to check the item they bought against the description I had previously given them online - there wasn't any problem in doing this until this morning, when the Etsy print function suddenly changed.

ahh ok. I have never seen a print function on the public listing page. Where is/was it located? Was/is it something system specific vs an etsy thing? Perhaps your system updated and something changed? Just taking wild guesses here since I don't see a print option anywhere on the listing page.

I was just able to print a full receipt for a recent sale.. so it could be your own computer. Maybe clear the cache or history and try it again.

They aren't trying to print a receipt - they are trying to print their "description" of the item -

This is the same issue some Sellers have been having with copying sold out listings from the Orders page.  @HiddenTreasureBooks  When you get the "sorry sold out" page-  underneath  it should still say "View item details" - and then you can print from there.

I just print out packing slips, but I think your way is a good idea. Then customers can also see the description they didn't bother to read in the first place!
