Regardless of which store I am trying to browse on Etsy, the page will half load, then when I click a link, it doesn't do anything, or it might make it to the 2nd page, but then that page freezes up and I can't click anything. I can see the first window of products, but the page won't scroll down to see the bottom half of the page. Then it asks me if I want to Wait or Exit the page. If I Exit, it then has a Reload button, but the new pages still don't work. I am on Windows 10 and using Chrome browser on a desktop.
It might be your ISP. I get that from time to time. The connection at times between my ISP and Etsy's is not always working well. I may get some freezing or slow loading at various times only to have most other times work well. It may not be Etsy but interference on the Internet.
I don't have an answer but I am having the same problem and it just started today. BUT!! Only on Chrome browser. Etsy loads fine on Firefox. Every other website loads fine on Chrome. There is something about Etsy and Chrome that isn't working today. Hope it resolves soon!
Do you use Everbee?? I found if I uninstall Everbee extension Etsy works just fine on Chrome. So for me there seems to be an issue with Everbee and Chrome. I tried it 2ce. Uninstall Everbee and Etsy loaded fine. Reinstall, and it stopped loading. Repeat. Same results. Ugh. I use Everbee all day long with Chrome (until today) so this is a huge issue for me. I've contacted Everbee support so I hope to get some answers/or a fix.
I do have Everbee, but it has been working just fine with Everbee for weeks. It just started acting up today.
I'm on Windows 10 desktop with Chrome but I'm not having any problems. Not sure what it could be.
Etsy's site is a memory hog. All of the popups really taxes devices. Even without the popups I've noticed that Etsy has always used too much memory compared to other sites. Lazy or inferior programming is my guess.
I have a newer computer and I notice that I have to limit the number of tabs while using Etsy. I also use a memory cleaner frequently and this seems to help.
I was shopping a few days ago on Etsy. It was horrible! Search I entered brings up a couple of lines of items then 3/4 of the page says "MORE LIKE THIS" with an arrow. Seriously 3/4 of the page and was all jumpy scrolling! Not a good experience.
It happens to me with Chrome, only I get a black page while it takes forever to load. Firefox works fine though.
I'm on a desktop computer, Chrome, Windows 10. I've had no problems today so far. I hope things clear up for you.
