Congratulations! Your item has been sold!
To confirm the sale of the item, please follow the instructions:
1. Send your email to this chat! (The email you used to register your account, and where you can receive notifications about the sold item)
2. Once you are notified that you have received an email from Etsy in your mailbox, you will need to go to the order confirmation page and undergo basic user verification on Etsy (This is necessary to protect yourself from fraud!)
Your shop is NOT suspended and this message is NOT from Etsy, it is a SCAMMER, trying to get you to go off-site and reveal your personal and financial information. DO NOT REPLY, send the message to the SPAM folder and Etsy will deal with it. They may have already removed the scammers account, they have been very swift to do so recently. If you tried to answer and got a "user does not exist" error, or "unable to send message", that means Etsy has already removed the scammer.
You are being scammed, this message did not come from Etsy.
Do not provide them any details or click on anything.
If you have provided them with financial details, call your bank and block your card
You have 40 sales, this should have raised flags "but since you are a new seller and this is your first sale"
As mentioned, it's a scam!!
Genuine messages from Etsy will appear in the 'from Etsy' folder of your message inbox (check using the website/browser)
They also have a small 'from Etsy' badge (which is not the same thing as the logo)
Mark scam messages as SPAM.
Etsy need to introduce a spam filter asap
They have. Sadly, scammers work around that. Different fonts, numbers for letters, dashes, *, spaces in words...it gets around the filters.
I've seen a lot of sellers mention being unable to reply to messages, it turns out they were scams and the account swiftly deleted.
@sahhaar I know you are in a different time zone, and I hope you come back to see the answers here. Your shop is just fine, and quite lovely!
Be very thankful that Etsy closed the scammers account down. Too many sellers have lost hundreds or thousands of dollars because they fell for the scam.
This is a SCAM. You are NOT talking to Etsy but a scammer wanting to STEAL your money.
Etsy would never ever ask for any of this info in a message. If anything ever needs updating on your account, YOU will see it on your dashboard/finance page.
Why would Etsy need your email? They wouldn't, they already have it.
ANY sales will show up on your order page. If a sale is not there, then there's no order.
A lot of helpful info on the help pages and on these forums.

Beware!!
You will be receiving many messages from accounts claiming that they are 'Etsy Staff' or 'Etsy Support' telling you that you received an order, and that you need to verify your email or something. Etsy already has all your info.
If you do not see any orders on your dashboard, this means that you did not make a sale and that they are trying to fool you into thinking you made one.
These are all SCAMS! They target shops, especially the new ones. They count on the lack of knowledge of new sellers. Don't give your e-mail address or any bank Information to anyone.
Also please don't click on any link sent to you!
Same here, i sent my email jn the chat yesterday and then zero answer. Today again tech support asking for my email but now telling me they are suspending my account (because they did not read my answer of yesterday?). This is bonkers.
Please do not send your email in messages. It is a scam. Etsy will not ask you for your email or any other information. Etsy already has your information when from when you opened your shop so if you get any messages asking for it, it's a fake message. All emails from Etsy will be in the "From Etsy" folder when you log in from a web browser.
