I tried logging in to my Etsy account and it’s asking for the security code that they supposedly sent to my phone number. I’m stressing right now and am unable to get any of the codes over text. They simply don’t appear. Please help!!
Yes, many of us with same problem. I finally got some codes an hour later but of course they didn’t work. There’s another discussion “security codes…” a little below this discussion. Contribute a comment there to help this problem get more attention.
Also experiencing this. Been about an hour since I first requested the first code. I usually have to request a code once a month and it has worked fine the previous months.
also experiencing this. it's 6pm central time and it's still doing it.
@3DPrintBakkar @Beadboat1 @AboveHappinessCo @JayBenedictBrownArt There have been other reports in this forum with issues receiving the code for two factor authorization (2FA) via text. At the time you set up 2FA you were offered the chance to download a list of backup codes. If you did that, you could use one of those to log in. Even though they are ask for the six digit code, the nine digit backup code will work.
I have No back up code; I don’t even remember setting this up - been with Etsy 3 months and this is the first time they had to text me a code that never arrives. I can’t get in and have pending orders….
@TheCandyKabobCompany: According to https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/The-security-code/m-p/139976473#M735558 Etsy chat can resolve this for you.
I'm going through the exact same thing. I requested a security code hours ago and it just arrived and it didn't work. This is very stressful because I am locked out of my account and if I get an order how do I complete it? I didn't realize that Etsy could be so stressful and feeling like I'm out on a limb.
I CHANGED MY MOBILE NUMBER, THE ACCESS CODES ARE GOING TO THE OLD PHONE NUMBER. HOW CAN I CHANGE
