I unable to sign in because I don't received from Etsy the security code.

@DesignsbyGitana: There have been other reports in this forum with issues receiving the code for two factor authorization (2FA) via text. At the time you set up 2FA you were offered the chance to download a list of backup codes. If you did that, you could use one of those to log in. Even though they are ask for the  six digit code, the nine digit backup code will work.

Go on Etsy chat and they will fix it for you (I just chatted with them and they got me into my account).

To use chat I need to sign in and I can't sign without my security code.

Is the security code one you are expected to keep and reuse like a password - or a one-time only thing?

A security code is a 2 factor authentication to sign in to your account but today again I unable to sign in because I am not receiving the security code. This happen before in October 13, they fixed, but today I  have the same problem.  I can't report to chat because I need to sign in. Can someone report this in chat, please .

@DesignsbyGitana: At the time you set up two factor authorization in your Etsy shop you were offered the opportunity to create backup codes and download them for local storage. One of those codes is what you need to use. The screen may ask for a six digit code but the nine digit backup code should work.

You must download from  Play store the Authenticator app on your phone

There are the security numbers. Open it each time when Etsy ask you the code. Copy and past.

when you set up 2FA, etsy gives you a list of 10 1-off use codes, in case there is a problem, with your mobile etc, use one of those

Didn't works those numbers that I got last time, but I was able to contact the same person on Etsy regarding the security codes and he open my shop for me. He told me is working on this issue and he going to let me know when is fixed. But thank you for trying to help me.

This happened to us last week and I couldn't log in because I wasn't getting the authentication text code. I emailed (the only option I was given, unfortunately) Etsy Help. A few hours later, they replied and asked for the required security info to verify I was the legit owner of the shop. A few hours after I replied with that info, my 2 factor authentication was manually reset. The next morning, I was able to log in without 2 factor authentication and switched to a different authentication method. So far, no problems after that. Fingers crossed. Total, I did have to wait a full 24 hours. Sorry to those of you that are experiencing this snafu.
