Is anyone else having a problem printing out Etsy mailing labels? Mine are printing out so large that the entire label will not show up. It doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my computer or printer, so I'm thinking it's on Etsy's end.
Forums posts the last few days with this issue seem to point to Firefox browser.
Thank you. Do you know how I can fix it?
Use a different browser.
Thanks, but I don't want to use a different browser.
@VintageSnippets then how about trying PayPal or Pirateship for purchasing labels? Always good to have a backup plan. Discounts are similar to etsy labels. Copy-paste the tracking into the order when you mark as completed.
Another option - try downloading the label instead of printing, and save as a document, or paste into a blank page - maybe even an email. Then see if it prints correctly for you .
Come back to let others know what worked for you.
Thank you so much for all your helpful advice. I appreciate it. Tried downloading and that didn't work. I ended up using PayPal and it worked fine and was also actually a few cents cheaper than Etsy.
Thanks again!
Same problem here. Copy and paste works just fine, since it's already paid for with tracking. It's just the image that is not formatting correctly. Same problem on my eBay labels, but only on labels, not on other documents coming from those platforms.
If it’s too large, you can always scale down the label before printing.
@TBQSC this glitch with Firefox is more than a matter of reducing size.
Thanks, but I tried that and it didn't work. Scaled it down 70% and it still printed out too huge to get the label on the page. Someone above said it's a Firefox browser problem. Used PayPal for the label (with Firefox browser) and it worked fine, so I think it's an Etsy problem.
Mine is doing the same thing.
So irritating, isn't it? Hope it gets fixed soon.
I've had this problem since last week, and like everyone else, I thought it was my printer or my computer. Apparently it is a Firefox glitch, although some are saying PayPal works OK with Firefox.
In my case, all images on Etsy's shipping receipt print huge, as do shipping labels. Adjusting sizes doesn't help. The only thing that has worked for me is to switch to another browser, in my case, Safari. I have to fiddle with the sizing and setup, but with Safari the receipts and shipping labels print normally.
I hope this gets fixed, as I do prefer using Firefox as my browser!
Thanks for your thoughts.
I wasn't having trouble with printing the receipts or invoices--only a problem with the shipping label. PayPal has solved the problem for me.
@WoolStreetStitchery: Would you please let me (and others) know what you changed in Safari? Thank you.
Yup, same problem. I found that the packing slips print fine but the image on the packing slips are messed up. My work-around is to click on the Download icon to download it to my desktop. Then open the PDF from my desktop and print it. Its an extra step but it work.
Same here.... Via Safari and Chrome it's no problem, but via Firefox the images on the receipts are a 'mess'.
Hope it gets solved, we always use Firefox.
Glad you could do it that way because I tried downloading but couldn't get it to work.
To download the labels, after you click on the print label button and the image of the label is on your screen, there are four small icons at the upper right hand corner of the page. The folder with the arrow pointing down is the download button.
StitchRoundabout: Settings on Safari may vary with differerent computers. I open Safari, go to my Etsy page and my orders. Click on the order to buy the label, buy the label. Click on print. The label appears 100%. I go to Edit, Print, and then resize it to 80% or whatever I need (for me 80% on Safari is about what 50% was on Firefox). And print. I also have to switch my internet connection each time I want to print to the connection that is specifically for my printer (I don't know why), and then switch back to my regular internet connection for other things. That used to happen automatically. So a lot of additional steps.
I’m using Firefox and not having any of the issues described above, so it can’t be Firefox that’s causing the probs.
interesting!
@IceMaidensand @Minouc It could be related to the specific version of Firefox and which operating system you are on.
