Need to vent. [Sigh] I favor items according to each shop's name to purchase items all at once. Well, now Etsy is "reorganizing" those boards & when I placed an order with a shop, an item was missed (because I didn't see it) costing me more in separate shipping, or seller possibly loosing sale. This doesn't help anyone. It's My favorites board...leave it alone. Okay, rant over...I think - LoL!
The OP is correct - Etsy has been changing the order of our "collection" boards for quite a while now. It's annoying. Like many vintage sellers here, I keep boards of the items I have researched for listing my new items or for team promotions on social media. I used to be able to have one large board and just look at the first few pages for the items I am about to list. Now I've had to create multiple boards. A lot of vintage sellers I know are ticked off about this unnecessary intrusion into our boards by Etsy.
I just changed one of my favorites/collections boards from private to public & the order got completely rearranged...again. Not sure why that would happen, but at least I found one of the reasons for it.
I put several photo frames in one of my favourite's boards while looking to find others that might be better, opened the board the next day to choose which ones I wanted and everything was jumbled up, had to search for them when they should have been the last ones added, sorry... but there really is absolutely NO reason that I'm interested in for etsy to come in and rearrange the order of what I consider to be my personal favourites !
Are you referring to the collection boards? Etsy doesn't mess with them but the sellers can. They can delete or remove or even change their listing into a new one (not supposed to but it happens) so the board can end up being different.
The collections I have created, I just looked at them, are pretty much the same as when I created them but I see a few differences which I account to the seller changing their listing and not to Etsy.
Favorites can't be organized. Only collections can that is made from favorites.
Or are you adding things to your cart in a certain order? Etsy has always removed items after 30 days to save to later.
Hi JD,
Yes, the collection boards, not the cart. Mine have changed. I visit them daily to add to boards or make purchases & noticed a few items I'm not ready to purchase are not in the same order as I'd had them. It's a very recent change.
Also, you can change them. Say you want an item to stay at the tp of your list...just unfavor then favor again & refresh your page. It'll be at the top. I do it all the time.
My favorited items are still all in order from when i favorited them all
The order of my faves have not changed.

@SheinLeather Second time in 5 minutes you have been so rude as to post promotional comments in Forums, interrupting another person's thread
Please read the TOUs for participating in use of Etsy Community Spaces as outlined in Community Policy
https://www.etsy.com/au/legal/community/
Particularly
6) Don't spam. This includes unsolicited or duplicate posts or links to your shop, fundraisers, surveys, social media or other promotional content.
Pretty frustrating if you have them placed in an order that suits you.
@ottoartisan: Please do not SPAM the forums with shop links - it is against the Community Policy (you have read them, correct). If people click on it and then don't buy it will hurt you in search and may get your shop shut down. And at the very least you should have your shop policies filled out.
Should we tell her she’s wasting her time playing games and that it’s against Etsy’s TOU?
@DemeterBagStore: Also when you post the link to your shop on other venues, you should NOT include the "?" any anything after it or you are just giving credit to Etsy for the person coming to your shop.
