Etsy has the wrong year I opened my shop

Anyone else have the wrong year posted for opening their shop? Etsy says I opened 2010 under my seller info in each listing. I opened in 2007 and had my first sale shortly after opening. I contacted support and got the usual, "I'll pass the info on" so I doubt I'll hear anything back.

My shop shows this, too.  The main shop page is correct, but listings all say 2010.  I'm wondering if the coding (or whatever it is) uses 2010 on the listing pages for all shops opened before 2010.  Just a thought.

@NanaLetha Then it must have changed.  Two days ago it showed 2010, but I wasn't really fussed and figured I'd look into it later.

@herflyinghorses   I see 2007 so it sounds like this may be an intermittent issue with something they are doing behind the scenes.

This has been a continuing issue throughout all of the shop home page tests and listing tests. Etsy appears to be taking the shop opening date from our stats page, which only goes back to 2010. That means all of us who opened before that will have the wrong date on some of these tests, but the correct one on our About page. 

I tagged them on LinkedIn when I posted screenshots, but this is Etsy, so of course no one replied or - heaven forbid - actually fixed the problem.

@cindylouwho2- Wouldn't it be nice if someone at Etsy would explain that to the masses? So many threads about this. It would only take a minute to post to their Announcement forum section so everyone would understand where the 14 years timeframe came from!! But then again, it is or is not permanent, so why bother!

It's worse now. It shows under my shop banner as " on Etsy for 14 years". Instead of fixing it, they made the error more prominent. It is a big deal to me. It looks like I don't know when I started or how long I've been in business. I do a lot of custom work and I feel details like this are important.

@herflyinghorses   I see 18 years.  So again this sounds like an intermittent proble affecting some not all.

So not all buyers will see what you are seeing.

Me too.. I even got a email today congratulating me on 16 yrs here.. yet Etsy says on the front page my shop is 14 yrs old. I am proud of my 16 years (2009).. I would like it corrected!!

Me too. I have two shops and they both say I've been here for 14 years when it's 19 and 17. I messaged them but have not heard back. Better to not say at all than give the wrong dates.

I have two shops as well, which have wrong dates.  Can you please tell me how you were able to message them?  I haven't been able to figure that out in a while.  I actually sent a letter by mail recently, regarding something else.

@herflyinghorses - We older shops all say 14 years at most because of what CindyLou said, but if you scroll waaaaaaay down to your About section, it has the correct year shown! I hit 15 this year, shows 14 on top and 15 waaaaaay down there. And the date in my forum profile if off by 2 months as well!
