Etsy has gone wonky!

Etsy has changed things on the back end and has cause things to go wonky the last few days. Anyone else having issues? My Etsy store has disconnect to ShipStation and to Erank. In addition, they must have changed their algorithm because my most popular listings got deactivated! This is so frustrating because every time Etsy does a change something goes wrong.

There are several threads about the integration issues. They to correct them on the service's settings end. Shipstation seems to be continuing to be problematic for some to reintegrate.

there are problems with a lot of links, shipping etc.

deactivation is different, etsy has started to use recognition software, and stated to deactivate listings with trademark names on items, like chanel, Prada and dior, disney, ninja warrior, starbucks, etc etc

The two things are separate,
the first etsy knows about, and is working on,
the second, you need to remove anything with a trademark name, in heading, description, tag, or on the item itself

any more hits, and your shop could be shut for good, and not allowed to open another

As to listings being deactivated, Etsy is cracking down on what they feel inappropriate. Copyright and trademark infringements is a large factor, but it also seems that the bots are looking for trigger words with no consideration for context. Just as an example that may or may not apply to you, if you say an item is ivory colored the listing may get flagged because ivory is not allowed to be sold on Etsy. Since Etsy is now also factoring descriptions in search, they along with titles, tags. and materials are all probably being checked. And the bots are also "reading" images. Hopefully you have / will receive an eMail from Etsy explaining the reason.

Were the listings removed using popular band logos like the rolling stones or characters like capn crunch? It seems the removal is a separate issue regarding infringement and the integration is a separate issue. You may want to address both as separate issues because when the integration is fixed it doesn't change what is our isn't allowed to be sold here if you had listings removed which even if the removal may have been triggered by these events, it could have happened anyways.

Listings being deactivated is most likely unrelated to any Etsy changes.  Etsy is cracking down on items that don't conform to their policies or don't meet legal requirements.

Were those by any chance the "Louis" (Vuitton) shirt, and the one with the signpost of top fashion brand names?

If yes, the reason for the deactivation is clear, and it is not that Etsy has gone wonky: these items were violating IP rights, and the owners of those brand names asked Etsy to take them down.

As you have many other shirts with IP infringing content, don't be surprised if there will be more deactivations in the future.

I remember a credo from my intellectual property classes in college. If the item even reminds a person of a famous brand, it is technically infringing. Now, will they sue? They do. They have. But...not 100% of the time. Like the old story about people barreling down the highway, does everyone over the speed limit get stopped? I'm also in Texas, and that would be a negatory...geeze, I've been buzzed by people at least 100MPH.

My account with Royal Mail is no longer integrating my sales. Just adds hours to my day typing in names and addresses. Sounds like they’re aware and working on the issue but it’s been 2 days now.
