Etsy forced vacation mode - how long did it take to resolve?

Hi everyone! My shop was suddenly placed on vacation mode this morning with no notice and it sounds like this is an issue affecting multiple sellers this week. 

For anyone who’s gotten their shop back up and running, how long has it taken to resolve this issue? I’ve already reached out to Support but wondering if there’s anything else I can do.

You need to check your email. Etsy most likely wants you to upload your ID.

I’ve uploaded my ID and the proper tax documentation already. I haven’t received an email from them as to what they need from me

it depends what the problem is

a lot are back in 48 hours, once the documents are checked,

some with more complex problems, like business and owner being inconsistent, take a lot longer

 

there are a lot of more rules, like usa inform act, and UK oecd tax reporting, so they are probably double checking a lot more

This happened to my shop yesterday as well.  I have NOT received any email from Etsy about this, so I have no clue what documents they may want.  All my information is correct and current. I have not had any buyer issues/open cases, I have been a Star Seller since the beginning. All my info has been the same for years!

I tried to contact Etsy yesterday but was so annoyed/frustrated in trying to get past all the b.s. that I finally gave up..  Is there an easy way to contact Etsy?

@IdleTymeCreations Easy is to use support chat. However, that seems to be outsourced (i.e., not Etsy employees) and other sellers have said they get confusing answers at best; sometimes just plain wrong answers and other times they disconnected <-- think of this as being hung up on during a phone call.

More reliable is to click the Help link at the top of the screen (if you're using a browser) and fumble around until you find a way to contact Etsy there. This should eventually get you through to a REAL Etsy employee, although you may get one or more auto-reply emails before that. If you get these, just reply "I still need help" or "I need to talk to a human" (anything along those lines, the wording isn't particularly important, just be polite!).
