Forced vacation mode

Jump to solution

I woke up this morning to my shop being placed on vacation mode by Etsy. I have never had this issue before nor have I received a email informing me why. My badges have been removed and I have been a star seller for the last 4 months in a row. Multiple sales over the last few weeks. Has anyone else experienced this? If so what steps did you take to get this resolved? I have been on Etsy since 2021 with no issues.

The message on both your shops is the one etsy puts up when they pause shops so they can catch up on orders.  This could be caused by having "too many" (etsy decides the definition of too many) open orders, orders that haven't shipped and the ship by date has passed, having a history of shipping late, or if etsy has refunded a buyer(s) from your shop due an order arriving late.

@michellepatterns

It's happening to too many legit shops over the past few days not to be either a glitch or a major change in bot behavior.

Also, many of the sellers have the "too many orders" message but also a message about "while we verify your ID."

My guess would be that they want to reverify IDs, but had never actually contacted the shop to request it -- just punished the shops for not sending in ID without them knowing they needed to do so.
