Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out in the hopes of finding some guidance or assistance. I’ve been a star seller on Etsy consistently every month since the program started, and my best-selling listing was recently removed due to an alleged violation of Etsy’s creativity standards. I believe this was done in error, as the listing has always complied with Etsy’s policies.
It’s been over two weeks since I first tried to contact Etsy’s support through phone, email, and chat, but I have yet to receive any response. This lack of communication has been extremely frustrating, especially as this listing was a significant part of my business.
I’m hoping someone in the community or an admin can help point me in the right direction. Is there another way to escalate this issue, or has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Lily Juell
@PlatypusDream that no longer works for most if not all of us. The page just says your shop has nothing to appeal.
Oh, dang!
Do you have an updated link?
Or are we just left to swing in the breeze, typical Etsy fashion?
@PlatypusDream I was told last week sellers could no longer appeal. But somehow my listing did get reinstated anyway, and a few sellers are succeeding as well, so...I don't know?
@TheBeadCounter: "... has anyone experienced something similar?" You have plenty of company. You may want to look at a few of the other threads for consolation https://community.etsy.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?filter=location&q=deactivated%20in%20err...
I had mine reinstated for “dangerous items” after almost 6 weeks. The next removal would suspend my shop per the email warning. AI is going crazy and there is 0 human oversight. It is not right to put this sort of fear into a shop owner. We deserve a proper way to appeal and NO shop should be punished before an actual human looks the violation over.
That being said, after my items were cleared last week I just had 2 more like come in today as “dangerous” so now I have to deal with the situation, worry, and fear all over again. These items are pretty similar except for the dangles. It is obvious that there has been no updates to the AI and I will have to remove all of these items, and loose sales and income since AI keeps flagging them.
Maybe it is time to get the media involved
I am going through this as well.
It is a real kick in the teeth knowing that every single thing that I ship is truly handmade. Yet shops selling trademarked items have been running smoothly for years!
I hope you get some answers. I am having zero luck.
