Etsy emails.

I get Etsy emails calling me 8qsalzby.  Is some sort of code attached to my store or do the have the wrong person?

Messages?  If it is not in the Etsy folder, it is spam.

Emails to your personal email address?  I would say with that it is spam.

8qsalzby is the Etsy-generated username you were assigned when you opened your account.  You'll see that 'name' if you look at the address bar when viewing your account page.

Etsy would not refer to you with that code name though.

Sometimes i do get the emails with the code too. A lot weird things happening lately.

Be very careful, sounds like a scam. They are huge right now and also if youre a newbie here on Etsy.

If the message were from Etsy, they would not use that user name (8qsalzby).  If the message is not in the Etsy folder under messages on your dashboard, it is not from Etsy and is a scam.  Do not click on any links in those messages and do not give out any financial information or account numbers.  If you already did so, contact those financial institutions immediately.
