Etsy crashes when I type a response to customers in messages. it also jumps the words..anyone else?

Etsy crashes when I type a response to customers in messages. it doesn't happen every time but it happens at least every other message or so i type.  it also jumps the words around.. I can be typing a sentence and some of the words will end up in between another sentence. this is a major problem as I have to continuously copy what im writing so I can paste it in when google comes back up. I work on a mac and it doesnt happen on safari. I dont care to use safari so was hoping for a fix. I have done everything possible I can think of and nothing changes this glitch. it also doesn't happen on my phone app..

@iLoveThelmaLu  :  Are you having this problem using an Etsy app (on which operating system) or via mobile browser or desktop browser (which browser and operating system)? It makes a difference as to possible causes and potential solutions, otherwise we have to guess.

it only happens when I use my desktop iMac running macsOS monterey version 12.5.1 using google chrome Version 105.0.5195.102 (Official Build) (x86_64). im up to date on all of these. I read a while back this was happening to other people but cant seem to find where I read it to see if there where fixes.. it does not happen on safari and does not happen on my mobile app

Mine is repeating words when I try to backspace. 
So let's say I spelled backspace wrong. If I try to go back to correct it, I get: backspasebackspasebackspase. The more I try to correct it, the more it repeats.

etsy said they fixed it but they have not.

Maybe it is browser specific? We just replied to messages using Firefox on WIndows 10 and Firefox and Brave on Linux and could not replicate your problem. @iLoveThelmaLu Can you roll back to the previous version of Chrome and see if that fixes it? @bradgoodell  What browser and operating system are you using?

Problems like this are always most likely browser-specific. The obvious thing to do is to keep trying other browsers until you find one that works. It seems that Firefox, at least, works in this case?

I want to use chrome as I always have, im used to it im comfortable with it.. why do I need to change it. ive been a seller here for a great amount of years ., never had issues.. maybe ETSY looks into why they cant work with these popular browsers all of a sudden. its happening on two different browsers so far. and going back to older chrome is not something I should have to do, I want to use the version I have

If that's the case, you might just as well ask Google why the new Chrome won't play nice with Etsy, like the old Chrome.

I (luckily) haven't seen this issue yet.  Until it is resolved, would a possible work-around be to type your message in a word processing app or notepad, then copy/paste into the message window?  Might be worth a try?

that is what I do now and have been for a few months.  I get asked questions or I have to talk with a ton of customers a day so it becomes inconvenient. it only happens in messages. I can type here all day and its fine, and its fine on the phone.  its been going on for months, I seen other people complaining about it., it was fixed for some but not for all.
