I listed a digital image on etsy. The next day I saw that in the "revenue" column in etsy ads the image made a sale, but I never received an email from etsy notifying me of the sale. Why?
Others have the same issues with email notifications; I do off and on. It's best to log in to Etsy at least once a day via a web browser to check on things, respond to messages, etc.
@DigMyDigitals: There are lots and lots of threads in this forum about issues with app and eMail notifications.
Presuming that the eMail was sent, many bad things can happen after the eMail has left Etsy's eMail server. Your eMail provider or Internet Service Provider or even a relaying server could be blocking the eMail in error and it never even makes it to your eMail client much less your SPAM or junk folder.
If you are not receiving any Etsy eMails, you may want to check that your eMail address is still confirmed. You can do that it your Account Settings.
Again presuming that the eMail was sent and depending on where in the process the eMail was blocked and who your eMail provider is, sometimes whitelisting the sending domain can help.
The consensus is that a seller needs to check their shop for messages and orders at least daily via a browser until these issues are resolved.
As mentioned, you may want to reread what is allowed on Etsy and also discuss your business plan with a qualified intellectual property attorney.
My Etsy ads show a large turnover on one item but there have been only two small sales. I have not received any mails of further sales. Etsy support is not available. What can be done?
