My friend had his account suspended eight months ago. Previously, he had some old accounts banned, and in those cases, any remaining funds in the payment reserve were sent to him after around 180 days. However, this time the situation is different. It’s been eight months, and he still hasn't received his deposit.
The worst part is that he can't get in touch with Etsy. They don't respond anywhere. He’s almost certain they’ve shadow-banned him, preventing them from seeing his messages. This feels incredibly unfair, especially since they’re holding around $2,000 of his money. The only way he can get in touch with anyone is by using my account. However, every time he contacts them, they say, “Your issue requires a supervisor, so we will email you the details,” but the emails never get responded to. They also won’t give him Etsy’s direct phone number— he has to request a callback, but since they don’t reply to his emails, he can’t do that either.
He’s submitted around 20 help requests over the past six months, but all he's received are automated responses from bots.
