Etsy Support via Square

lately ive been getting these Etsy emails that look rather suspicious, it says the following:

Etsy Account Notification — Action Needed Now Hi Seller, A recent transaction did not go through due to unverified banking details. Furthermore, we still need to confirm your ownership of the account. Here’s what you should do: 1. Update your banking information 2. Complete a quick identity verification Secure link to proceed: (Hid the link for obvious reasons) Thank you for addressing this issue swiftly. We value your cooperation. Best regards, The Etsy Compliance Team

Scammers want you to put in your banking details so they can rip you off. They are trying to come up with new material all the time. I don't know why a Message with "Etsy Compliance Team" isn't caught by bots and filtered out. That should definitely be a red flag for them.

When you get a LEGIT Order, it will appear under "Order" (Left Column of Shop Manager). Also, it will be in your Payment Account. If it isn't in those places, you have no Order. Just remember to "Report" the Scammer's Message so you don't get dinged for Star Seller.

Hope this helps. Etsy really needs to get a better handle on the scammer situation under control. To many new Sellers are getting hit by this, many of them have been ripped off.

Etsy Support will never ask you to provide personal information via Etsy Messages, such as your email address or password. Any legitimate message from us will show in your "From Etsy" folder.

If you receive a suspicious message, here’s how to report it:

1. Sign in to Etsy.com and go to Your Account.
2. Go to Messages. 
3. Select the suspicious message from your inbox. 
4. Choose Report.

i got this message in my email but when i checked messages in etsy dashboard, there was nothing. so i guess it was a scam that was automatically removed by etsy. right?
