Etsy Seller app generates 4x8 labels instead of 4x6 when printing to label printer

Like the title says, whenever I print shipping labels from the Etsy Seller app to my label printer, it generates a 4x8 label with a 2" whitespace at the top. (Technically, it's a 4x6 label but in a 4x8 file??) This ONLY happens on the Esty Seller app. If I print from the desktop/website, it properly prints as 4x6. My shipping profile is correct, the labels are properly identified and aligned as 4x6. All other apps properly print in 4x6.

You can see a screencap of what it looks like when the Etsy Seller app generates the printable file here. I've performed all the printer troubleshooting I can. Since this is isolated to the Seller app, I'm assuming it's an app issue, not a printer one.

The app has a lot of issues - and you'll get lots of people suggesting you use a browser instead

Me too, 4x8 instead of the designated 4x6 Esty Seller app only.

@jpkTheBard  Can you print labels while your shop is on vacation ?

I am not sure what could be happening. Have you checked your printer to see if it may have options to set label size? I have an IDPRT thermal printer and it prints Etsy labels in 4" x 6" size.

Note: Oops! Just went back and reread the post and I see it is only happening when you are using the phone app. I never use the app.

I have this issue. You described it perfectly. There is no paper size setting 2x2 through 4x8 that will have Etsy print on a 4x6 thermal label from the APP. Have to print from the website / computer. I hope someone has a solution.
