Etsy Removed my Handmade Listing for Creativity Standards

Hi Everyone,

My name is Pikalda from Thailand, my most popular item was removed, called "LCT" (listing ID 552290258) by Etsy 17 days ago since that day I try to resolve this problem but no clue so I hope someone here can help or suggest me how to solve this case.

I received an email stating that my listing was flagged and removed by Etsy's automated system for violating Etsy's Creativity Standards. This item is a handmade stonewashed pants. I design and created pattern with my specific measurements by myself & made it using sewing machine by my family & team (all of them show in my shop members).

Based on Etsy's Creativity Standards, I did not violate any of the policies for selling on Etsy because the item is completely handmade. It is made from stonewashed fabric with elastic and I used sewing machine to make it. I do the work at my backyard workshop in my house.

On 26 Sep, at the same day that they removed my listing I reached out to Etsy by mail and explained about the process on how I made the item. Etsy Support contact me back on 10 Oct and can't tell me exactly what my listing do wrong. I didn't relist or remake it because I would like to fix the problem with Etsy before I do the action about this product code because I don't want to make Etsy misunderstand I intend to break their rule again.

Today, my product listing "LCT4" (listing ID 552290432) had been expired so I renew it (I really don't know "LCT4" will effect to the case "LCT" listing too) after renew for a while then Etsy remove it with reminder email that have a reminder message if I do it again they will suspend my account I'm shock & so really scary I VERY WORRY about it.

How else can I prove that this item is handmade? I can make my product to show them step by step even take a video clip to show but I don't know the chanel to do that. If anyone has had the same experience, how did you address and solve this with Etsy? I don’t know what else to do. I hope Etsy will really look into this.

P.S. now I'm afraid and very worry about they will suspend my account so I decide to deactive all of my LCT product line.

This is your issue: by myself & made it using sewing machine by my family & team (all of them show in my shop members)

When making a listing, there is a new section. The minute other people are involved in the making of your garments, it becomes "Designed by"

When your listings appear as "Made by" but you have a team listed, then your listings are being flagged as violating Etsy's Creativity Standards

You need to change the core details in each listing

you can't use mockups as the first photo

This is my new knowleage. My first photo is not a mockups it's made from Canva.com. I edit & design it by select the picture that Canva have.

That is a mockup,

you have to have an actual original photo, without being messed around with canva

it's in the creativity standards that it is not allowed

Listings for items ‘made by a seller’ must use original photo or video content of the final product. 

If etsy says you are braking the creativity standards, you should at least read them, you are 100% breaking them, all your listings could be taken down, and your shop shut.

@NaughtyGirlShop: "... I did not violate any of the policies for selling on Etsy because the item is completely handmade ..." Yes there are false positives,  but you need to keep in mind that "violated Etsys creativity standards" can encompass much more than just if it is handmade by you.

It covers a myriad of Etsy rules, including such things as what is in your primary image, if a prohibited word or term is in your title, description, or tags, or if your core details are correct, or if your primary image is also on a wholesale site.
