My clients like knowing who I am who they are buying from...my image is important for my brand. Please put photo back up!
I fully agree! Too many changes going on here at the moment! Announcement moved to BOTTOM of the page, seller photo disappeared, picture ratio in the search results suddenly changed again from square to 3:4! OMG, Etsy, I have loads more to do than having to waste my time fixing around your changes which are done without any announcement!
Where was this image removed from?
I still have mine beside my shop member details.
@RainbowTimeMachine finish your About and add yourself as a shop member... there is a space for your face there.
It used to be on shop main page in the upper right area!
In the new shop home page that Etsy's rolled out, there is no profile pic with the shop owner's name, or link to the profile page.
I don't see it on my phone or laptop, but on my tablet, I still see the clickable profile picture, IF I turn my tablet horizontally. If it's vertical, there's no profile pic/link showing.
Etsy still says the profile page is where to disclose shops:
"If you have more than one Etsy account, you must list all of them in the Public Profile section of each account."

Someone pointed out in another thread that you can still get to a profile page if the seller leaves a comment under a review.
An Etsy member can get to their favorites by clicking the heart at the top of the page, when signed in, but otherwise, if someone wants to buy a gift for someone from their favorited items, they are pretty much hidden.
I don't get why they decided to hid the profile pic and link, but usually it means they are working on some other changes that we don't want or need.
Another "great" change by the Etsy folks. (yes, "great" means stupid and self serving). My thought is they did this to make the shops "feel" more like real stores/businesses and not the people behind them. I bet some Etsy upper was at a meeting a few weeks back and while chewing on a pencil said "Why show the seller's profile image where it can be easily seen and found? I mean, imagine if the top of the Amazon site showed Jeff's image? ICK" and everyone nodded and gave a thumbs up. (rolls eyes)
They are gradually stripping our personalities out of our shops. At some point we will all have to legally change our names to 'Etsy', at which point, we will all become one. Just another cog in the Etsy machinery.
