Etsy Marking digital "Made to Order" orders as "complete" before files are uploaded

Etsy is marking my digital logo "made to order" orders as complete before I even have a chance to look at the new order. This causes me to almost miss new orders since they are automatically being sent to the completed tab. Second, I cannot undo this or upload the files to customers on etsy, I have to end up emailing them.

I have posted about this before and I got the advice to reset or check my listings because maybe I didn't have the "made to order" setting selected. Even though I did have it selected I went into those listings and "resetted" those preferences. This seemed to have worked for a while and now I am getting this issue again. Some orders go through fine and some just go straight to completed. Does anyone have any idea and can what can Etsy do about it, it's really annoying.

It's a glitch another seller posted a suggestion and temporary fix the other day

"Go in and edit it to reset it back to MTO. It may show in edit that it is MTO, but change the type or the date, save and the re edit back to MTO."

Etsy are aware of this, I contacted them last month about it. I found editing using the old version of listing manager on desktop fixed it.
