Hello,
I woke up to My Shop placed in Vacation Mode by Etsy early this week. I am in Australia and My Shop has been running for a number of years. I have previously been asked for information and it is always the same old story of major time loss, shop closure, business disruption and incovenience to reinstate. Last time, I was in an endless AI message loop until I spoke with an agent via live chat but once again that didn't resolve my issue until I requested a Supervisor and was contacted with a resolution a significant number of days later.
This time, I have received a request for Government ID which I immediately supplied and uploaded. In Shop Manager, it says that my ID is pending verification.
1. I don't understand why notice is not given for this process before inactivating the Shop. Shutting a Shop is hugely disruptive and it will take significant time to regain traction.
2. How do I know my information has been received and will be assessed? It has been four days now. And in Shop Manager, there is a ticking day calender for this check to be completed within 60 days otherwise Shop will be shut down.
3. I have made a Support Request. I have added comments to it since in the hope that it will be answered. Nothing, just crickets and a ticking Calendar. Surely, Etsy can do better than this?
4. Also, as My Shop is in Vacation Mode so I don't seem to have to the ability to have a live chat with an agent? I feel stumped.
5. Does anyone have experience of this and could lend a few pointers to my having real and direct contact with an Etsy agent and my shop reopended?
Thank you!

I have exactly the same, still in vacation mode and I’m super nervous and stressed about it.
If you always have delays verifying, then something won't match identically, and it needs a human intervention,
make sure everything matches EXACTLY
on tax ID registration, photo id documentation, address documentation
all addresses, down to something like St. and not Street
names, so if Jane Susan Smith in one place, not Jane S. Smith in another
.... because of the millions of verifications that have to be done by end Jan, those few %age that fail the auto bot, might actually be a big number of shops, compared to the number of humans reviewing them manually, there is probably a big queue
