Not sure if anyone else has the same issue.
I'm an individual seller, and my Etsy shop has been running smoothly for nearly a year with good sales. A few days ago, I suddenly received a notification from Etsy asking me to upload personal verification, and my shop was forcibly put on vacation mode. I followed the email instructions and uploaded a photo of my passport. I confirm that my uploaded passport page is clear, glare-free, and meets the size and background requirements. My personal information also matches my Etsy and Payoneer account exactly, but after five business days, my verification is still not approved. This is so ridiculous!
I contacted Etsy's online support. They said they would forward my case to the verification team and contact me via email, but days have passed, and I haven't received anything.
I also sent an inquiry through the Support Center, but still no response. I have no choice but to seek help here. Is no one handling this?

I am literally in the same situation. I have tried uploading different ID's to see if that would speed up the process but still no progress.
Yes. In fact, I have two shops under my account. I uploaded the same information for the other shop, and it was approved in about 30 minutes. However, this shop still hasn’t been approved. It’s really confusing. I don’t even know how much I’ve lost these past few days.
I just re-uploaded my ID again with a black background. Hope that works and the ID gets approved.
Hope you get verified soon!
I am also a seller from Japan! Late at night on the 27th, I received a similar message from Etsy, and my shop was put into vacation mode.
At first, I uploaded my driver’s license, but since there was no progress, I uploaded three different forms of ID yesterday: my driver’s license, my passport, and my international driver’s permit (which includes both my name and address in Latin characters).
However, there hasn’t been any change so far.
If there are any updates, I’ll let you know. Let’s stay in touch and exchange information!
I also uploaded several files, but it seems that Etsy's verification only kept the last uploaded file. I'm not sure if it's because the first uploaded file didn't pass automatically and was then switched to manual verification. However, the verification process is extremely slow with no response at all. It has already exceeded the 2-5 business days stated by Etsy.
Both of our shops have reopened!
I'm truly glad it turned out that way.
My ID got verified and my shop reopened but as soon as I made a sale my shop was put on vacation mode again and they asked me to verify my ID again. Has this happened to you guys?
same problem, made one sale and put on vacation mode again.
What document did you previously get approved? Was it in English letters or another language?
It was driver's license and it was in English
It seems that the issue is not related to the content of the document but simply a bug in Etsy's system. It’s possible that the uploaded files were not saved properly, and when a new order triggered a reverification, the system couldn’t find the previously uploaded personal information.
