hey - so for the last five days I've received this error code: EusCDKZdT0z2q-i5tsyXaNLXfi85 when trying to update my listing (basics, just quantity change) and unable to save/publish.
I've opened 3 Etsy support tickets, closed with no response and I'm not sure what else to do.
Anyone experience this?
Troubleshooting:
- Tried both Chrome & Safari
- Tried 3 different computers
- Tried a variety of listings
- Logged out, logged back in
- Tried updating different variables
- Cleared cache
Try a different browser. I update some of mine with no problems using Firefox.
Thanks. We did. Both Chrome & Safari.
Update, we tried both Chrome & Safari.
@CascadeIronCo did you have any joy with this? I had a new listing saved as a draft yesterday, I added new photos today, finished description, variations etc and I have a similar error message when trying to publish. Very irritating
Interesting. Yes, it has happened with different types of updates. There was one message I received from them that just said it's an error code if they do not recognize the change (or something to that affect). Sorry it's happening to you too.
Hello, I had (and still have occasionally) the very same problem. I contact Etsy support which was useless, but I found a solution myself.
The problem appears when I attach photos to the variations after all other changes. So, I write/edit all I need in the listing and variations, then Save changes, reopen the listing and just attach photos. It works every time.
@CascadeIronCo, @ArtyCaves I don't know if this would help but here is the call back number from the help section,
Also, it is known that if you open more than 1 support ticket, Etsy thinks the one before it has been answered and your next one goes to the the back of the line. If you get a response that sounds canned, reply with the I need more help option if you see it.
Thank you, I will try that!
Appreciate the info about the support tickets - what I was seeing though is that it was being marked as closed immediately. I really wish there was more support.
It could be your ISP? Have you tried logging out completely? Removing any VPN? Etsy does not work well with VPN. Tried a different device? Your OS may be corrupted in some way and is not dealing wel with graphics or other internal. Did you run a utilities check? Run your anti-virus?
It s not a recognized error code.
Thanks for ideas. Have tried on 3 different computers/devices. two desktops (one in a different city) and a laptop. The first message I received from them did say it was a recognized code and a "validation error." But the examples they described do not apply.
@CascadeIronCo I just abandoned my attempt to update yesterday's saved draft listing and opened the draft again, updating one section at a time and re-saving to draft after each change to work out at which stage it freezes.
The error occurs as soon as I try to update the price and Etsy shows me a 'last used' price pop up, which I selected. I'm then unable to proceed from there.
I've just realised, I'm not very techy, it's my microsoft wallet settings (didn't know they existed) which seem to be offering the autofill pricing options, I'd assumed it was Etsy. As soon as I use the autofill option I get the error message.
Thanks for the input! Glad you solved it. We've tried updating one thing at a time: a photo, a quantity, a tag and still get the message. One message we received from Etsy said it was a recognized code and a "validation error."
@CascadeIronCo out of interest, at which stage did the message first appear? Did you try saving to draft after each individual change?
It's only happening with a handful of listings - just trying to change quantity and then error code.
My solution to this problem:
Go back into the listing and change it from a Physical item to a Digital one. Then switch it back to a Physical item again and the shipping details.
I have no idea why this works, but it is my trick to make it publish.
Thanks for idea! Tried this to no avail - only happening to a handful of our listings.
We've been here since 2015, these are not new listings so I it seems like a glitch?
This happened to one of my listings maybe two years ago, I talked to support and it was corrected within a week. Then, it happened again last year, for one of my listings. I spoke to support and they said they are aware of the issue. I waited for it to be corrected, but after a year, it was never fixed. The only thing that fixed it for me was by creating an entirely new listing. Even a copy of the listing would give me that same error.
Oh my gosh, that sounds like a nightmare. Thanks for the warning.
I finally talked to someone on support - they seemed to be aware of this error code. It's our best seller so I'd be really upset if they couldn't resolve.

I get those red pop-ups with an error code regularly when updating listings. Seems to be certain times of the day ... so I can't help but wonder if its related to internet traffic.
I did get a response from Etsy when I contacted them and sent them the error code a day or so later telling me to remove all attributes. I did and the listing uploaded. I then went back and added the attributes again w/o a problem.
I usually create a new listing from an old one ... and wonder if changes in the image template between whenever the old listing was first created and now cause this.
