Before anyone asks, NO, they are not in my SPAM folder and my settings haven't changed. Also, I do not rely solely on the emails for new order alerts, as was suggested in a 2022 post about the same thing. I just like to keep track of my orders and shipping as a back up and they are not coming through as of this morning. If this is simply because of heavy traffic, OK, but it is worth looking into.
It may simply be a Cyber Monday, backlog, but I doubt it.
As someone who has not received certain types of emails for this shop for years, let me warn you that even changing your email address isn't guaranteed to help. I changed mine from Yahoo to my domain email, and I am still missing the exact same emails - Etsy Success, policy updates, Etsy promotions etc. This is 100% on Etsy's end.
Sometimes emails get lost by the servers. One email service like Yahoo or is it Gmail has that they do lose email. It can be volume. It can be having extensions or ad blockers that prevent email. It's one reason not to solely use email for orders. Always check shop daily at least.
I use the email as a backup only.
It shows that a customer has sent a message, but nothing shows when I open it up -app and computer. Chat has no option to get help to fix it. I currectly have 6 messages that shows a snippet but nothing when I open and I cannot reply. Something is definitely going on and wish there was a way to contact tech support to fix it
