Etsy Checkout acting up Today

I tried to buy some designs today. When checking out I got a message from Paypal saying order total too low to check out. I tired twice with Paypal same message.  Then I tried again today with my credit card said same thing, Anyone else having trouble today checking out. This is not ok. I am now wondering if thats the reason I haven't seen any sales in a couple of days now in my own shop.

Yes, I have had exactly the same experience since 6:30 am Central time. Live chat suggested I clear cookies, which I did, and still cannot get my shopping cart to load. And then I get the "Oops, somethings gone awry..." message. I am also a seller, and I HOPE this problem is NOT SYSTEM wide, today of all days!! Discouraged, to say the least.

Cart isn’t working for me. I’d like to use that nice promo code! I’m not using the app, I’m on browser. Cleared cookies, turned off and on again, signed back in. Can’t access cart at all just getting an error.

Been trying since 6:00 am.  Now it is after 11:00.  Still cannot access my cart to purchase anything.  Tried everything.  Etsy.....  you have a problem.  This needs to be fixed.

I'm trying to make a purchase using the CYBER24 code. I entered it in the "Gift cards & Etsy Credit field," but get this message again and again ...

"Hmm, that didn't work—make sure you entered a valid code and try again."

Dang. I just saw the "coupon code" field but now I have to remove a bunch of stuff from my cart. I'm pretty sure you could design the site so any code could go in the same field so I wouldn't have needed to remove 22 items from my cart!

Wow!! That's so crazy!! It's like they didn't test the coupon code to be sure it works!

Maybe they're trying to put off sales until they don't have to give out that $5.

I thought that, too.  It is a big disaster for everyone....  including Etsy.  What a shame.  I'm giving up.  Been at this for hours.  Can't buy "anything" if I can't access my cart.  With or without the coupon.

I have a regular buyer who couldn't buy today - her order was cancelled.  Sometimes her orders take a while for Etsy to process payment (like a day or so) - but this one was just cancelled, she has been in touch with Etsy but I don't think they were able to help her.

I can't access my cart, so was going to put in a ticket as they requested.... but they show me as not even being logged in, which is BS. Not jumping through extra hoops to help if I have to verify who I am when I can clearly see that I am in fact logged in.

Unbelievable -- but sadly the norm here on Etsy.
Has there ever been a scheduled sale or promotion without detrimental affects to the website.

Did they use the$5 Etsy coupon? Pretty sure that's what is making it crash for some people. If people don't try to use the coupon they can probably check out just fine. But once they do, then they lose access to their cart completely.

I'm getting sales, too. And I just bought something with CYBER24.
That doesn't mean that there isn't a problem.

Maybe I would have had 10 sales today instead of 4?

It may be that the app is working but browsers aren't, or maybe only certain browsers are having an issue. I do know that ever since I applied the coupon (about 3 hours ago), I can't access my shopping cart. I don't really want to try in my app too in case it crashes that as well.

At least support said they'd pass it along to a specialist, because I know what that really means.

I had this issue earlier today. I googled it, and a solution was that I had an item in my cart that was too low to cover etsy fees.  Basically the item I wanted was £24.79, so I had added some super cheap clipart to make up the order, I think one was 20p and one was 5p.  As soon as I removed them and added something else for £1 - it worked!
