I was waiting for someone to get to me... waited 4-5min, no one came. I minimized the tab, then they came but I had no idea, no sound alert. So they ended the convo, but it kept me in that chat window. It wont let me connect with another rep and the existing rep left the chat room I assume.
I logged out and logged back in, same issue. I am literally stuck in a black hole here.
I am technically both a buyer and seller so I went into buyer phone support and asked for seller support, they transferred me over to a seller support rep actually on the phone. They helped me with my setting up ads issue.

And the answer is--it can't be broken because it never worked in the first place.
How I contact their support? I don't see an email or ticketing system for etsy seller support.
Good one!
@ChrisAdvalArts: "I don't see an email or ticketing system for etsy seller support." : Try https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling or you can open a support ticket through Dashboard > Community & Help > Contact Us
go to help section and drill down through the topics to I still need help
@ChrisAdvalArts A Community Manger posted this today:
Oops I misspelled Manager. If there is anything we can help you with let us know.
try this link for phone support
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_sell_manage_listings-callback
or this for email support.
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_sell_desposits_fees-contact_select
not sure they will work for you,
OR
you could just ask your question here... you might get a faster answer.
edited to add - I always prefer email support even though this channel may not be the right one... always include supporting screen shots if needed, make your request as fool proof as possible, like you're talking to an alien.
In the chat box, just type the question again. It should start another chat.

I've heard of this happening.
ofcourse! they want more of your money!
But I would not waste money on ads until you have improved the seo on your listings. and if you have good seo, you shouldn't need ads.
It's not uncommon to have Chat hang up on you, even if you haven't minimized the window. They don't want to bother with you or answer your question, so they will just hang up. It's been my experience that Chat cannot answer anything that isn't already in the Etsy Seller's Handbook, and they don't have the authority to answer anything that pertains to one specific shop, such as a hacked account or anything to do with finances.
Your best bet is to go to Help->Contact Us. Pick any question, scroll to the bottom of their answer and click I Still Need Help. A form will then open to send them an email. They may ask you some questions first. Just answer anything. Then change the subject line to whatever your inquiry is about, then tell them your problem. Attach any relevant screen shots or conversations you have.
Wait for them to reply. This can take up to 10 days. DO NOT send them any new email threads until they answer that one, or they will close your last inquiry and consider the new one to be a new problem and you will have to start over again. Usually, they will send you 2 or 3 canned responses, including one that says their decision is final, before a real person will even look at it. Just keep responding from the I Still Needs Help link at the bottom of their replies until you feel you have really reached a real person and your problem has been solved.
@ChrisAdvalArts Here you go. It is so hard to find going through the system.
I can't even find the chat! Can you supply a link, please? Thank you.
No phone number, no chat, wow.
Chat isn't available for 24 hours, only regular US business hours, so it won't show up as an option until 8 or 9 am. I believe it's on EST, but I could be wrong.
