Esty's social media tool is still having issues posting to Instagram and Twitter

Hey Etsy Community - the social media tool is still having issues posting to Instagram and Twitter. I've removed and re-added twitter, but there is still an "uh-oh" error. Instagram says it requires the etsy seller app - but that has been deprecated.

The Etsy team is currently working on this reference number 12527843. They  don't have the tool yet with social media in general.

Mine go to Twitter but I get Uh-oh occasionally and go re link it.

I can't get the notification still so I can finish post for Instagram and FB. It's affecting my social media views and nothing is helping they advise me to do. I tried to use Chrome but same thing for sharing my listings from Etsy. I've sent in info to Instagram, Meta settings etc. I am verified so I'm getting annoyed as every issue, same answer. "working on it". Well one issue from December with dates on listings "working on it"  fed up.

@DKVintageandBeyond Contact Etys support by phone, chat or email.

Make sure you have updated your Chrome to the new version. They updated sometime months back and Etsy said they would not support the old version. Or try another browser and see if it goes.

Going through Etsy Help and following the prompts allows ( if available) the option for support to call you.

@BuffaloGalVintage already have twice and responded 2x nothing they say to do is working. I replied with that last week but nothing back.

On my PC I don't even see an option for IG? Just Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter. I tried Pin and it went right away. (MSEdge) Unless you are talking about the app?

Quick update: I found while troubleshooting that the Etsy social media tool creates hashtags that exceed/pass the character limit on Twitter (-56 characters). Reducing the amount of hashtags fixes the issue observed with Twitter.

The issues with Twitter and Instagram are two different things.

Etsy team's internal ticket 12527843 still doesn't have a social media integration tool needed for Instagram. Instagram is still requiring Sell on Etsy app - which has since been deprecated. Etsy needs to develop an API/tool to integrate with Instagram on my phone.

Twitter issue is resolved / Instagram issue still ongoing.

I can't post to twitter or Pinterest from the social tab. I get the OH OH for twitter, and Pinterest says connect to Pinterest.... even though I am connected and can post from the listing page. Any suggestions?

@Rhinestonedivas Sometimes you may need to sign in.  Close the tab and then reopen it.

Pinterest does log people out so you may need to sign in again.

The social tab is the same way, you may need to sign in again in order for it to work

@Rhinestonedivas I just did a form on Twitter to inquire as it's the same for me. Possibly since the logo change? I'll let you know when/if I hear back.

I'm Nana and I’ve reviewed your query. Thank you for sending the screenshots.
 
We're always trying out new things behind the scenes at Pinterest. At the moment, it is not possible for users to claim an Etsy account to a Pinterest account, this is expected behavior. You can still create Pins that lead to your Etsy products even though the account claiming option is no longer present by using the Pin Builder tool and using your Etsy product pages as destination links for the Pins.
While we can't go back to the old format of being able to claim an Etsy account to a Pinterest account, we truly appreciate your message.

We have never been able to claim an Etsy account as we have only a page and not a website.  Been that way for years.

I can easily pin via the line on the listing or within social media.

Pinterest sometimes logs out a user so the user has to log in again.  This can happen on teh social media tab or in the listing.
