Error message when renewing

Every time I renew a listing I get an error message.  It says Leave site? changes you made may not be saved then you can click either leave or cancel.  It does renew but this message should not be coming up if it does.

It'll probably never get fixed, it's the etsy way. 

I've also noticed that if I copy an older listing, I get through editing to post and error pops up to contact etsy support with an error code.  Not goin' down that "support" road.  I'm not sure how far back you can't go, but don't waste time because you can't save any of it.

Just say leave.  It works.  I think it is how Etsy's site interacts with some browsers.  Agreed that they should fix it.  But it's been that way since the new listing form, as far as I know.

As for older listings, for me, I've found that it is often a category issue or something like that.  Be sure to review everything, even if it worked previously.

Yeah, "leave" works just fine, but etsy should be aware of another unfinished issue. 

As for my older listings I've gone line-by-line and can't figure it out, even trying different listings.

I've seen several posts re: "Leave site". And even though you would think you should do the opposite (answer No), you are supposed to select "Leave site", which is totally backwards. Having said that, I have been Renewing > Editing and Copy > Editing listings. And I have not seen that prompt. I tell it to Publish. If it's a quick change (a few words in Title, Tags, Description, etc., or plug in a new photo), I do it at that moment. With the Copy > Edit (which was for a new item), I first selected Publish, then Deactivated it to make the changes appropriate for the new item.

I didn't have any trouble (which I was pleasantly surprised), and I didn't receive an Error Banner, nor did I get the "Leave Page" prompt (as I said). I always used the same desktop computer, Chrome, Windows 10. And I saw several Threads where Chrome was an issue for people. I expected problems, but had none. I Renewed > Edit for the last time yesterday. I make any edits after I Renew (or Copy). However, just because I'm not having issues doesn't mean I don't empathize with people who are; it isn't right that others are hindered from listing, for whatever the reason.

Yeah I got that and ended up staying and clicking renew - then I got charged twice because it had worked with the renew and then because I assumed it hadn't, it renewed it again.

All these changes Etsy make and I swear they are just breaking more things than they fix

This just happened to me today! I'm pretty upset with them about this. I have tried using the "chat with us" feature but have been waiting for a response for almost half an hour now, so much for the average wait time being 1 minute.

I've had that dang thing off and on. When I first encountered it, right after the new form came out, I did the same thing as @BlaqKat, I may be old but I learned quite quickly that page is not intuitive at all. I threw caution to the wind and used one of the two renewed listings for a completely different thing. I know, I know that was wrong of me, but I was so exasperated with the new form, I went with it.

What do.you mean? You opened a different listing that's already active? I hate this dumb problem for what we pay Etsy and the competition to ne seen.

Yeah, I get this all the time. It does actually list the items (which I of course check before I "leave site") but it is a bit of a pain, I think it also does it if you have de-activated and want to re-activate a listing. You think that relisting or re-activating items would be straightforward, wouldn't you.
