I have a yellow banner in my shop manager telling me I need to confirm my seller info in order to be paid. I need to add my phone number to my legal and tax info. When I try to add my phone number, I am getting an error message. Anyone else?
I just read that thread and this solution actually worked for me yippee!
Go to the Yellow box that says "Need a new 1099-K with your latest details?" Click on the "Learn More" link. Under that you will see the link for "Legal and Tax Information" highlighted in blue. Click on that link and use that one to update your info. You will notice the link in the address bar is a little different than the other ones. That is the one that worked for me.
Be sure it is the same phone number you provided at registration.

She says: "O.K, I found a work around that did work. Don't use the link in the yellow banner. Instead go to "Finance", "Legal and Tax Info". From there I selected "Edit" in the "Legal Shop Information" field and it let me add the phone number and submit it there."

There were tons of people having that issue earlier. My problem was I would enter it and then it would just have a wheel spinning forever. I kept backing out and redoing it until finally it worked hahaha.
Yep, I'm having the same problem, Etsy support couldn't figure it out, and then I think he just didn't want to deal with it anymore so he told me to clear my cookies and wait a while. Well, surprise, surprise, that didn't work.
I'm talking with Etsy support now and I will send them this fix. Glad it worked for us!

The work around works!! Thank you to whoever figured this out. I contacted support twice this morning, once by chat and once by phone call and they recommend clearing my cache. Now I can resume running my business and not worrying about my business.
edit the phone number through safari not chrome.
