Empty Space Instead of Freshly Published Listing

I have just listed an item. The listing fee is charged but instead of the listing under All Items on the main page there's an empty space. No listing under the proper category. The only places I see the listing is in the Payment section and Listing section where all active listings are given in chronological order. But it's only visible to me, not potential buyers. Does anyone else experience this glitch?

Sometimes it takes a bit to show up. Try refreshing the page.

Not a glitch at all. Listings take a few minutes up to  an hour ( I have seen) to hit the marketplace. It will show up.

Your latest listing is the cotton spools. Leave it 10 mins and then check again. Sometimes listings are slow to appear and you may need to refresh the webpage a couple of times. If you still can't see it, check your inactive listings in case a bot got it.

Are you doing this using an Etsy app or via browser? (It makes a difference in what the problem might be and potential solutions.) Have you checked using the Listings Page in Shop Manager (preferably via a browser because of issues with the Etsy apps)? The Listings page should be the definitive source of truth about the status of all your listings. Also, Etsy uses server side caching and some pages like your shop home page may not update for some time - your listing and the Listings page should be up to date at all times.

Two hours later the listing still does not show up on my screen (not app, it's a stand alone computer). I refreshed the pages, don't see anything. But it looks like some people can see it.

I checked both on my main page and in Fabrics and Crafting section. I did a search and one result was returned with a blank page. No picture, no title, no link to click on, just empty space.

The newest listing I see in your shop is for serger thread. No blank space. Is that the one?

It does take a while for listings to be indexed although this does seem like too long. Is the listing showing up on your listings page in shop manager (preferably using a browser) when selecting "active"?  You should see a thumbnail image, the title, price, etc. The listings page should be the definitive word on the status of all of your listings. If it is there, what happens when you choose "View On Etsy"? Perhaps there is something about that particular listing.

It does show up in Active listings. And thank you for tips on View on Etsy. It does work this way.

Thank you everyone for checking. It looks like many of you see the listing except me. I'll contact Etsy tomorrow once Chat box appears in the Shop Manager. I am glad that this is not a wide spread glitch.

It's not just you, it just happened to me too. Very odd, Not a missing listing that just has not come yet but an actual blank space on the page. If I go in to rearrange I can Move the Blank space but nothing appears when you click on it. I went in thru another browser and it's still blank.

I contacted Etsy with the problem and the support went nowhere. They see the listing and do not understand why I have the blank spot instead of the ad.

Could you please contact Etsy via chat and let them know about the problem? You'll have to upload the screenshot of the page. Maybe if the see that this happens to several people, they'll do something about it. 

For now, I am living with the empty space knowing which product is supposed to be there but my concern is what if it happens to other listings as well.

Same problem here: about 5 listings in our "beads section" are actual blank space on the page and nothing appears when you click on it. We edited them, changed the first picture and some words in the title without any result: they are still showing blank.

I hope Etsy tech people will check out what the problem is. I still have a blank space for the listing I discussed above.

I went through the list of your items (the first 6 pages). I saw 3 blank spaces as a visitor. It means that if I do not see those listings and you do not see them, then  some buyers may not see them either. The sales are falling and now the storefronts in some shops show unclickable blank spaces. But Etsy takes the money for the listings.

Hello, I have definitely seen this glitch on one of my listings too. The blank space was visible on Chrome, but on Safari and Firefox the listing was showing perfectly. (Talking about computer viewing).  I tried deactivating the listing, and reactivating, still blank. I tried to see it signed in and signed out, same thing, blank. I am sure it's a problem because I have seen several blank empty spaces in search, which means it must be happening to other shops too. You can't even click on it, there's no picture, no title, nothing. At one point I wondered if it was shadowbanned or censored by etsy. (mine is a toast pair of earrings !! No censorship needed lol). I tried reuploading the pictures, still blank. And I tried duplicating the listing and publishing, (paying for a new listing) and it published blank !! A nightmare. In the end I created a brand new listing with my pictures and copy pasted my description and I could see my item in my shop on chrome, but I was thinking what am I going to do if they all start to show as empty spaces ??? They need to research it and fix it, that's for sure. It has nothing to do with the time new listings take to appear on screen. It's something else.

did you ever get this sorted as im having the same issue with empty spaces, i can see them if im logged in but when im logged out i cant but they are appearing in the section part.

Nope. I see them in Chrome in my shop and other shops and I also see blank spaces in Firefox.
