Email vs app stats difference 400%

Hi,

I realized today that stats in the weekly email we get from Etsy vs. stats in Etsy app are soooo different. In email it says 116 visits this week, in app it says 566 visits last week. Any idea what is going on with my store data?

Is the larger number perhaps "views" rather than "visits"?

@DreamybyInesT: There is plenty of anecdotal evidence in this forum about how inaccurate Etsy stats are. You should rely on Google stats if you have them linked to your shop.

@BagmakerSupply Thank you. And how about Etsy fixing error? I mean,I'm relieved now knowing it's not just me, BUT it means ot should be fixed. So Google it is until it works (universal vs 4 right

You are looking at visits for last week in the app and so many visits this week search./  Two different time frames.  And the email says ending week of the Dec 2. but there is no mention of the beginning date which I assume would be November 26 through December 2.  But maybe not.

My email shows something different too but without a true reference point it is hard to say what dates are for the stats in the email.

I don't pay attention to the email.   I look at the stats and only at the 30 day.  Stats less than that don't give me the kind of information I need.   I used to use Google analytics but I'm not interested in the daily any longer.  For my shop that information is just not useful.  Etsy stats and Google stats are not the same thing and cannot be used in the same way.

It might be for you but unfortunately Google is shutting down the universal analytics in favor of the new one and Etsy has yet to enable that use of the new.

Thank you. I also have enormous amount of direct traffic so could be they are using my store for testing.
