Editing an existing listing

Is anyone else having trouble editing an existing listing? I just wasted an hour of my precious life editing one and it's not letting me publish it again. I keep getting the message "This section is incomplete. Fix errors before publishing." And also, "Please fix the following error in order to save your changes." I've fixed them and it still won't let me publish.

This is the second time this has happened.

Yikes! This hasn't happened to me, but others have reported weird things happening since the new listing form rolled out. Some even reported that new listings weren't live even after a full day of posting.

Yes, I've had that happen too. I make changes in the titles and descriptions, or add photos, and when I hit pubish it goes up just the same as it was before. Eventually it does change but not instantly like it did before.

I recently had a similar issue a few times.  Was connected with something in the shipping drop down box, an incomplete or incorrect USPS category (maybe I still had USPS First Class).  Once I corrected/completed the shipping info, I was able to publish the revised version.

Yes, this happened to me too. It was the shipping info that was preventing me from publishing. I eventually discovered this after wasting a lot of time trying to figure out what was wrong and then Chat telling me to sign out/sign in, try a different browser, and clear cache -- all which wasted more time and did not solve the issue.

It's happened to me.

Sometimes I eventually find something I've missed by scrolling slowly through every single field. Oops forgot quantity after using a listing with variations as my template. 

Sometimes there are helpful hints at the very bottom of the page about what is missing.

Sometimes I think it's a time warp between Etsy, the internet and me. Our systems just won't align.

Sometimes I give up.

And yes ... I clean out my cookies, make sure I'm using the latest version of everything ... and finally reboot. But of course any edits are lost at that point.

It happened to me on a custom order the other day.  It was asking me to fix detail that wasn't even on the screen!  Then if you do get to hit Publish you will get a pop up giving you 2 options either to "Leave" or "Cancel".  The only way off the page is to click Leave and you hold your breath wondering if your item was indeed published or not, but you will find that it was. 

It's a total joke!

If you changed the title, it could be you have a space as the first character.  Backspace to the beginning of the title line.
