My shop has been "frozen due to unverified taxpayer information." It has stated that my EIN is not correct. I have verified that my EIN is correct and my SSN is also there. Is there a place I can provide my IRS form SS-4 as proof that my EIN is correct? I sent in a Help Center request, but have not heard back a response.
@Former_Member: How long ago did you get your EIN? The verification checks are run against official databases and there have been reports that there is commonly a delay of 4 - 6 weeks between IRS issuing a new EIN and updating their public facing database.
This is a good point and something I hadn't thought about. It's been about 2 weeks. I just found it odd, because my bank has already verified and accepted my EIN when I set that up, but for some reason Etsy doesn't.
