Duplicate tracking numbers for the same customer not picked up by Etsy.

Anyone else have two seperate orders for the same customer, put in the same tracking numberon both orders for the one package to buyer and Etsy is saying that the second tracking number is not registering as being tracked, even though it clearly says it on the order.

Ive spoken to them about this but they seem to think that it is a problem that has been reported and the engineers are working on it. Ive just had another 1% drop due to another not registering the tracking properly. Ill loose star seller at this rate.

I found that wherever I mentioned star seller stuff they stopped listening and just kept saying there was nothing they could do. Once I switched the focus to simply updating the info on the actual order itself so that it said delivered instead of pre-transit, they were able to help. So maybe stop mentioning the star.

That issue should self correct in around a week.

I've been struggling with valid tracking numbers not being recognized by the system -- and never correcting on their own by the way -- and been told the same:  engineers are looking into it.


And like you, was watching my percentage drop due to no fault of my own, which support agreed was no fault of mine either but did not volunteer how to help.  I finally, after pestering them over and over again, figured out what to do. You can request that support manually update the order to delivered once you have proof of delivery. Support will accept a screenshot of tracking showing delivered or the customer saying they received it (either by message or in a review).  Once the order is updated to show delivered, your star seller metrics will update.  NOTE: support may tell you that your star seller data will not change, that's what they told me, however mine did.  And not only did it update, I regained my star this month which I had lost due to this issue.  You have to literally beg them to do it, insist it is possible, they will likely try to fob you off with continued responses like "we are looking into it and can't do anything more for you".  THEY CAN.

@Frapperie Thank you for this, i spoke to another lady who was the same, engineers are looking into it and will get back to you.  Iveupdated the case to say my percetage is dropping again. Ill try putting the tracking screenshots in the case see if that helps.

Hope you are able to get them to do it.  It's absolutely maddening that we have to jump through these hoops and play these games with them!
