Usually I check where my creations are in search by disconnecting from my shop and doing an
incognito search with the settings to : US and USD as currency.
As of today, Etsy has pushed a new layout for search by categories, and when
I use the old one, "categories" set to "dangle earrings" I cannot access the food and
drink theme, in the list of themes only 5 are accessible as opposed to something like 10 before.
When I click "show more", it doesn't do anything, when before it would unroll the list of themes.
Nautical, Stars and Celestial, Western, etc is no longer accessible. This is on a macbook and Chrome.
I can still search for my jewellery if I type "food dangles" in the main search but that
yields very different results and I liked better the old search method by theme which was more precise.
Is it not working for you too ?
(There seems to be no problem on the buyer app, which is good as more people shop / browse by phone)
This is what I'm doing :
categories (top left) > drop down : jewelry > earrings > dangle and drop earrings > All filters > and in "all filters" all the show mores are not working. That also means that for example customers cannot search by materials, or some styles as before.
It's also happening on Firefox. Is Etsy getting rid of this way of searching ? I see that they have included some new categories like "art deco" on
the main page of the search but some categories have disappeared, like mine. Glitch ??
@TheSausage - It appears that Etsy has made some changes to its Search Filters:
It is probably some sort of test.
Also, what I might see signed in can be quite different than when I'm incognito.
Typing "dangle earrings" into the search bar, I'm signed into my account, I can see western and food themed options.
But when you're looking for something specific, and if you had good results using the options the way they were previously shown, these sudden changes can be quite frustrating.

Yes, probably a test. I hope so because it doesn't look good for a site to keep "show more" buttons that are unclickable, it looks like a computer student mistake. For me it is also happening when signed in, and only since today. I know it's complicated to prove because every single person seems to be seeing a different kind of search, which is a nightmare to work on product placement for sellers.
oops, I take it back. it's working now, when I'm signed in, I can have access to all the themes and I'm seeing (yet another) new layout with all the categories again. Phew ;))
BTW going incognito really doesn't work. Etsy system still knows it is you via the ISP address.
