just had a listing deactivated and I was very caught off guard, I read the hand book and all the policy’s and while I might dance around the rules on some listings the one that just got taken down was a battery cover for a gel blaster. A gel blaster is a kids toy for ages 8+. Based off the policies no one would mistake the add as a real firearm and it has the “permanent blaze orange barrel end” that is required. It can’t be appealed so what do I do? It’s one of my biggest sellers so far.
Same thing JUST happened to me about 15 mins ago.
They deactivated 10 listings, but warned me to look at my other listings, which I had to deactivate over 200 listings until I get it clarified.
I sent in a Request for Help and then replied to that email.
Look at my thread and you will see the good advice I took from another seller.
Etsy is enforcing policies in light of the current climate surrounding shootings/weapons as well as shipping issues involving batteries so if it was a battery cover, it's hard to tell what the actual trigger point for deactivation was.
For your shop, I don't think you're dancing around the rules on several of your items, you're actually in violation/trademark infringing unless you've got licensing permission which should be displayed. I mention this only because once you're on the radar for one deactivation, no one knows how many more (or if the three strikes you're out policy still exists) to the point where you would never be able to have an Etsy shop again. I'd suggest taking a step back and examining where you want to go with your shop. A theme is great, especially going into the holiday shopping season and I know there's a market for your products, you just need to do it without the brand names and logos.
It's the battery most likely. Follow what @moonbeamgifts says, she gave you some good advise.
Prohibited items which may apply to your items can be found here.
