I sell knitting patterns as digital downloads, and several of my listings includes 3 different languages. I inform the buyers in the description about this (but I don't know if anyone reads it), but get lots of messages from buyers that they can't find more than one language. I need to ask them for their email and then email the correct version to them, I have given up sending links so they can try to solve this themselves, it just ends up after several messages that I'll have to email the preferred language.
This is so time consuming and frustrating, and I have no idea how to solve this. Does anyone have experience with this?
Are they PDFs? Just make one with all 3 languages included. You could also put all 3 in a ZIP file
That's a good idea, haven't thought about that!
Maybe list them separately? You can write the description the language that corresponds to the PDF.
Yes, I have thought about that, the only thing is that most buyers don't look around at my shop, they just say I can't find it. But I could try this with a couple of my listings and see how it works.
Is it all the patterns or just one specific pattern? You might try deleting the patterns and re-uploading them or uploading them in a different order. It sounds like it might be buyer error, the first file is not the one they want and they don't look any further or they think all 3 versions should be in one file, like most commercial patterns.
No, unfortunately this is not a buyer error. However, I have discovered that the latest uploaded PDF is what they will see as the immediate download. If I add the English version latest, my Swedish buyers will complain about the English version, and visa versa.
