Hello, UK seller here!
This morning, we received a sale to the US - however, for some reason, they buyer has paid the domestic price, instead of the 'everywhere else' or international price? I have contacted Etsy Support via Live Chat, who have advised:
"It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue that our engineering team is looking into. I’ve added all of the details from this ticket to their investigation so they have more information to work with."
I subsequently asked them what the outcome would be for my payment account - and they closed the chat (surprise, surprise). Does anyone have a resolution for this? We're actually losing money on US orders as a result.
This is the fix that others sellers say etsy gave them ....
Do this edit in your mobile browser or desktop (not the app, as it's apparently getting updated and this won't work):
Disable domestic & global pricing on the listing
Publish the listing
Edit the listing again to add domestic & global pricing
Publish the listing
I’ve contacted Etsy and raised a ticket. Surely we’ll be due a refund for the difference in price? It’s causing us to run at a loss.
Hi did you manage to get a refund? I have been having the same issue for at least a year. This morning I contacted Etsy support, gave them my affected orders over the last year, stated I had lost GBP10 for each order, and they agreed straight away to refund me GBP10 for each affected order. I was pretty suprised to be honest, I was expecting to be fobbed off. So do give it a try. I have now removed global/domestic pricing from all my listings (manually, it took a couple of hours) and increased my shipping costs. Not ideal, but I was completely fed up of having this issue.
I had this same issue yesterday. Contacted support and they said the same about passing it on. They did however, refund me the difference between the two prices.
