Etsy has disabled my messages for no reason!!!! This issue has been going on for over a week as I started my new shop and work with custom order's and respond asap to provide the best quality customer service and they have suspended my messaging and I cannot talk to any of my customers to show them a proof for custom orders. This has brought my first message response from 100% to below 80% please help me as I have customers who need a response with their order in order to complete it.
Made Four appeal's now in a week's time and not one has been responded too.
Currently have 8 message's that customers are wondering what is going on with their order and I cannot do anything to help them... never received anything from Etsy when my messages went down.
Message I receive: Bummer, your messages have been temporarily disabled. Please contact support to have them reactivated. Also, see the FAQ and Community Guidelines for more info about Messages.
Contact the buyer using their email.
I have but not all buyer's respond via email, and I deal with custom products, and I send a preview and there not able to see the preview before shipping and it causes even more problems if it's incorrect.
Does anybody know how to move the thread or have a moderator look at it. I saw this post from somebody about two years ago and was un-muted within an hour.
Solved: [URGENT] - User is Muted - Welcome to the Etsy Community
Hey, I saw you guys helped another etsy seller and was wondering if you guys can help me with my issue. I was automatically muted from etsy and it was a bug and this has been over two weeks' now. I have lost sales, rankings and reputation. I deal with mostly custom order's I don't know if it was that or whenever a package is going to be delivered that day I Alway's send the customer a message telling them that the package is going to be delivered that day.
Thank you so much!
-Danny
Hi Danny,
I'm sorry this happened to you. I'm not an Etsy employee (just another Seller). If I see someone needs help, I'll sometimes try to "at" one of the Admins. The other three people you "atted" are Etsy employees. They will see that you've Tagged them.
I've seen HerrMoostache come into a Thread when someone needs help. And ampersay will post about some Technical Issues.
You've already emailed Etsy. If you haven't done so, reply directly to their response and say, "I still need help". (If you start a new email, it will push your Ticket back further in line).
I'm really sorry I couldn't be of help to you. And hope you get assistance soon.
Unbelievable. 2 weeks and cannot message customers.
That is Etsy efficiency for you...."stand with small", "make e-commerce human". LOL!! I have way better phrases that would be suitable but it would be rude to post them so I won't!
Some people have found help through the Twitter venue if you have an account with them. That might be dated info as I don't know if anyone even uses Twitter anymore but worth a shot....
As others have said, email your buyers. Now. If you've left them hanging for over 2 weeks you will end up with worse problems than a muted messaging which you can work around with email.
Attach the proofs to the email. BCC yourself. I doubt it will help in a NAD case since communication is outside Etsy but at least your buyers won't feel like they've been ripped off. No communication will leave you with no orders to worry about.
JMO, you do you and all that. I do hope it gets fixed soon. It would be horrible to be muted.
Best whishes to you!
UPDATE:
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Over two weeks and finally got my messages resolved, thank you to everybody that helped give me tips & tricks on the situation, really means a lot!
Thank you, Etsy Community!
